Sandra L. McCormick

May 25, 1946 To May 24, 2008

Mrs. Sandra Lou McCormick passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

She was born May 25, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of Jerome Walter and Elizabeth Eleanor ( Boyer ) Jasina.

On October 12, 1974 she was married to James William McCormick in Westland moving to the Ypsilanti area in 1975.

She loved social occasions including Christmas and birthdays. Prior to her illness she had been very active. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and scrap booking. For many years she had sold Avon products. However, her greatest joy was spoiling and enjoying her grandchildren.

Prior to her retirement in 2003 she had been employed by Ann Arbor Commerce Bank for many years. Mrs. McCormick is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, James W. McCormick. Dear mother of John McCormick, Leonard Perkins, Jamie ( Kevin ) Dospoi, David Perkins, Jr. & Kris ( Randy ) Tompkins. Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren. Sister of Ron ( Rita ) Jasina, Jerry ( Linda ) Jasina, Larry Jasina & Cindy Sheely.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 2 – 8 P.M. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11 A.M. at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Belleville ( 734-697-9400 ). Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Belleville.
