Hazel Juanita Adkins

April 7th 1924 To July 12th 2007

Passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Maple Manor Rehab & Assisted Living, Wayne, Michigan. She was born April 7, 1925 In Jefferson City, Tennessee a daughter of William Andrew & Nealy Maybell ( Collyer ) Line. In 1942 she was married to Howard Daniel Adkins in Tennessee, moving to Belleville from Detroit in 1965.

Mrs. Adkins had attended the Graceway Baptist Church of Ypsilanti for a number of years. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, bowling and her Tigers and Red Wings. Mrs. Adkins was a mother and grandmother to everyone.

She never had an unkind word. She was truly a woman of God.

Mrs. Adkins was the loving mother of 6 children; John Adkins of Belleville, Donald ( Eva ) Adkins of Waterford, MI, Jerry Adkins of Belleville, Larry ( Penny ) Adkins of Champion, OH & James Adkins of Belleville. Mrs. Adkins was loved and will be missed by 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 sisters. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Daniel Adkins in 1970 and her son, Roger Dale Adkins in 2000.

Visitation will be held on Sat., July 14, 2007 from 5 – 8 P.M.

and Sun., July 15, 2007 from 1 – 6 P.M.

Funeral Services will be held on Mon., July 16, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the

Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Belleville, MI
