James S. Britt

January 4, 1943 To January 25, 2010

Mr. James Britt, 67, of Belleville passed away on

January 25, 2010 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

On March 30, 1996 he was married to

Florita Ballesteros at Belleville Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Britts was a member of the UAW,

Senior Karate Club, September Days Senior Center,

participated in the Senior Olympics,

volunteered as Santa for the community for a number

of years and volunteered in the Phillipines for a medical mission.

Before his retirement in 2003, he was employed as a

Tool & Die maker at Ford Motor Company.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Britt is survived by his

2 children; Laurie (Arthur) Smith of Beverly Hills, MI

& Colleen Britt-Wilson of MS., 1 stepdaughter;

April (Michael) Maunu of Brighton, MI.

Also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27

from 2 pm to 8 pm at Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home,

209 Main Street, Belleville (734) 697-9400.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 28

at 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church , 409 W. Columbia, Belleville.

Interment will follow at Parkview Memorial Park in Livonia.
