Mary Louise Davis

January 23rd 1927 To October 1st 2007

Mrs. Mary Louise Davis, 80, of Belleville, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2007 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mary was born on January 23, 1927 to Hiram and Frances Huffman. She lived on Carleton West Road in Belleville, Michigan until she married in 1948. Mrs. Davis drove a school bus for many years for the Van Buren Public Schools, worked briefly for Ford Motor Co., and operated the Dairy Bar in Sumpter Township in years past.

She loved to travel, attend her grandchildren’s many sporting and music events and enjoyed playing pinochle with her many friends.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her beloved husband, Delbert Davis, loving mother of six sons; Richard, Arthur, Dennis, Douglas, Rodney and Bruce, Grandmother of 13 and Great Grandmother of 5. Also survived by one brother, Alvin Huffman, one sister, Jude Michalak and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary is predeceased by her late husband, Richard Dale Sullens, Sr., three brothers, Hiram, Loyse and Frank Huffman, four sisters; Mildred Houck, Frances Vance, Vera Burton and Dorothy Strasburg.

Visitation will be this Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 3;30 to 8 P.M. at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Belleville (734) 697-9400. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock.
