Emma Jewell Happy

 Belleville, Michigan

Passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn, Michigan.  She was born May 1, 1928 in Stratford, Oklahoma a daughter of Oliver and Susie ( Ward ) Townsend.  On July 9, 1955 she was married to Leo Happy in Detroit, Michigan moving to Belleville from Detroit in 1958.  Mr. Happy preceded her in death on January 13, 1994.  Mrs. Happy was a parishioner at St. Anthony Catholic Church.  She enjoyed reading and watching ‘Judge Judy” on television.  Prior to her retirement in 2000 she had been employed by the Silk Screen Shop of Ann Arbor.

Mrs. Happy was the loving mother of Walter ( Cindy ) Happy of Ann Arbor and Sandi ( Gino ) Zoppa of Warren.  Loving grand mother of 4 grandchildren; Sarah, Samantha, Christian and Jacob.  Dear sister to 5 sisters and 1 brother.  Preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 11 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1 P.M. at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Belleville ( 734-697-9400 ).  Burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock.

The family has suggested memorial contributions to either the American Cancer Society or the family in lieu of flowers.
