Passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor.

She was born December 7, 1956 in Dearborn, Michigan

a daughter of James and Catherine ( Novak ) Riviera.

On February 21, 1981 she was married to Chester Allen Meyer in

Belleville at the First United Methodist Church.

They moved to Manchester from Belleville in 1989.

Rita will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was a member of the National Reining Horse Association

were she held many titles.

She truly enjoyed her horses and for many years boarded horses.

Rita is survived by her beloved husband Chet of Manchester.

Loving children Chad ( Sarah ) Meyer of Manchester and

Taryn Meyer of Manchester.

Proud grandmother of Rylie & Nathan Meyer.

Loving daughter of Catherine Riviera of Belleville.

Sister of Caroline Babchek of Taylor and Rochelle ( Kris ) Black of Ishpeming.

Dear niece Amy (Pat) Proden and nephew Bardley Babchek and

great nephew Dylan.

Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 1:00 P.M.

until the time of the funeral service at 4 P.M. at the

Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Belleville

(734-697-9400).
