Andrew B. Michalski

Mr. Andrew Michalski, 91, passed away on

May 16, 2011 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

On January 8, 1944, he was married to

Stephanie Gorczyca at St. Hedwig Church in

Detroit, moving to the Belleville area from Detroit in 1946.

Mrs. Michalski preceded Andrew in death on

June 20, 1988. Mr. Michalski was a member of

St. Stephen Catholic Church in New Boston.

He enjoyed bowling, was an

avid gardener and loved to cook.

Prior to his retirement in 1976, he had been

employed by McLouth Steel for many years.

Mr. Michalski is survived by his four children:

Stanley (Jean) Michalski of Manchester,

Caroline Szalony of Westland,

Frank (Betty) Michalski of Belleville

and Marian (Patrick) Sporka of Macomb.

Loving grandfather of ten grandchildren

and fifteen great grandchildren.

He also leaves behind his special companion Hazel Huber.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Visitation for Mr. Michalski will be on

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from

5 PM to 8 PM with a Rosary at 5:30, and on

Thursday, May 19 from 1 PM to 8 PM.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011

at 11 am at St, Stephen Catholic Church,

18858 Huron River Dr., New Boston,

with final visitation beginning at 10:30 am

at the church, with Fr. John Hedges officiating.

Entombment will follow at

Michigan Memorial Park in

Flat Rock, Michigan.
