Mission statement

It is our mission to continue the family owned traditions started by the Roberts Brothers in 1932.  We at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home wish to provide to you, your family and friends a comfortable home-like atmosphere.  By allowing us to serve you during a difficult time you are showing us a great trust, which we honor and appreciate.

Our front landscaping is a work in progress every spring to beautify and welcome you to our facility.

Our landscaping on second street becomes more beautiful every year when the roses bloom and brighten up the side of our facility.

Our front entrance welcomes you when you arrive.

           Our front lobby resembles a home as opposed to a commercial building as with other funeral homes.

Our arrangement room continues our home like atmosphere to put you at ease while speaking to our staff.

        Our main chapel is warm and cozy during visitation with comfortable furniture so you can relax with family and friends.    

Our main chapel will hold well over 100 people on the day of your service.

Our main chapel also has a large screen television for viewing Video Memorials.

   Our wheelchair lift located in the main chapel completes our goal of becoming ADA compliant.

 Our handicap entrance locater under our covered carport makes it easy for our disable guests to enter our facility.         

Our remodeled main floor restrooms are also ADA compliant for our disabled guests.

  Our smoking lounge entrance is on the first floor, our lounge means that our guests don't have to brave the elements whatever the season to enjoy smoking.

            Our smoking lounge has several large exhaust fans to maintain negative air pressure and comply with current regulations and laws.

Our smoking lounge also boasts a new tile floor and a new tile ceiling and some newer furnishings. 

Our lower lounge allows our guests to bring in food and have an area to "get away" for a while, it has a television and a refrigerator for our guests to use as well as a children's play area complete with movies, cartoons and an assortment of toys and stuffed animals.

Our lower lounge also has its own restrooms for your conveniences with a baby changing table.

The first floor main lounge has coffee and other assorted hot beverages for you to enjoy while you visit our facility.

We strive to create a warm home like atmosphere to relieve your stress and put you at ease during a difficult time in your life.

Here at the Higgerson & Neal funeral home you are free to enjoy coffee and other hot beverages we provide.

We also provide an area where you can bring in food and refreshments to enjoy while you are here.

Also our smoking lounge is one of the last available in any funeral home.
