Josephine Rabun

February 28, 1927 To November 12, 2011

Mrs. Josephine Rabun passed away

Saturday, November 12, 2011 at

Whitehall Convalescent Center of Ann Arbor.

She was born on February 28, 1927

in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania a daughter of

Nelson and Betty (Jamison) McKee.

 On September 15, 1946 she was married to

 William W. Rabun at the Metropolitan Baptist Church

 in Pittsburgh, PA moving to

Detroit from Pittsburgh in 1953.

Mrs. Rabun enjoyed sewing and pottery

 and many forms of arts and crafts.

 She loved her animals.

But, most of all she was devoted to her family.

 Prior to retirement Mrs. Rabun was a

radio announcer known as JoRae

with WCHD, WCHB and finally

 with WJZZ radio for many years.

 Mrs. Rabun is survived by her loving husband

of 65 years; William W. Rabun.

 Loving mother of William W. (Deborah) Rabun, Jr.

 and Phyllis K. Rabun.

Dear grandmother of William W. Rabun, III.

 Mrs. Rabun was preceded in death

 by 9 brothers and sisters.

 A memorial service will be held on

 Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.

 at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home,

209 Main St., Belleville
