Doris L. Shukait

Doris L. Shukait, 83, of Ypsilanti, passed awa on June 30^th, 2007 at the Evangelical Home of Saline, MI. She was born on November 26, 1923 in Redford Township, MI, a daughter of James & Norma (Foster) LaRue.

Mrs. Shukait was a member of Stony Creek United Methodist Church

in Ypsilanti, MI. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery, oil painting, playing the organ, cooking and reading. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at Meijers as a stock room marker.

Doris is survived by her 2 daughters, Nancy (Roy) Dane and LuAnn (Jon) Butler, her son-in-law Michael Marsh, 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter . She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, her daughter Norma Marsh and her sister Genevieve Gregg.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2^nd, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Belleville. (734)697-9400. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 3^rd, at

11 a.m. at Stony Creek United Methodist Church, 8635 Stony Creek Rd., Ypsilanti,MI, with Reverend Kenneth Ray officiating. Interment will be private.
