James Robert Stokes

June 5, 1938 To February 16, 2010

Mr. James Robert Stokes passed away

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the University Hospitals, Ann Arbor.

He was born June 5, 1938 in Monroe, Michigan

a son of Robert James and Lillian ( Ulenburg ) Stokes.

On November 30, 1999 he was married to

Cecelia Martha Olkowski in Toledo, Ohio.

Mr. Stokes moved to the Belleville

area from Hamtramck in 1989.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and “All My Children”.

Prior to his retirement in 2006 he was employed

by Colonial Dodge as a salesman fro many years.

Mr. Stokes is survived by his loving wife Cecelia.

Dear father of Peggy, James, Jr., Richard,

Ronald, Sandy, Kacey and Dawn.

Fond grandfather of 11 grandchildren.

Brother of LeRoy, Kenneth, Lois, Carol and Mary.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 from 2 – 7 P.M.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening

at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home,

209 Main St., Belleville (734-697-9400 ).
