Mrs. Sherry L. Michalek-Wenzel passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009

at Bortz Health Care, Ypsilanti, Michigan following an extended illness.

She was born September 3, 1945 in Ypsilanti, Michigan

a daughter of Elmer and Dorothy ( Watson ) Mairs.

On August 16, 1963 was married to Marvin C.Wenzel.

Mrs. Wenzel was a life long resident of the Belleville area.

Mr. Wenzel preceded her in death on October 7, 2007.

Mrs.Wenzel loved to sew, knit and crochet.

She was an award winning artist.

Mrs.Wenzel was the loving mother of Kelly K. ( Brian Cole )

Wenzel of Belleville, Scott ( Karen ) Wenzel of Clarkston and

Marvin Wenzel of Ypsilanti.

Fond grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.

Daughter of Dorothy Michalek of Chelsea.

Sister of Beverly Keller of Belleville.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009

at 1:00 P.M. at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home,

209 Main St., Belleville ( 734-697-9400 ).

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 1 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M.

at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Belleville.

The family has requested memorial contributions to the HDSA

( Huntington’s Disease Society of America ) Michigan Chapter,

1174 James Savage Rd., Midland, MI 48640 in lieu of flowers.
